Warmer tones and longer hair, that's what comes to mind as a stylist when Fall rounds the corner! Spiced Chai lattes, too... Yum!
Autumn is actually a very beautiful season. The colors are beginning to fade from bright greens to oranges and yellows. Earth is entering into a season of rest and peace. One of the things I like least about the season is the sun not being as close to our beautiful beaches as normal. So tan lines and warmer days will be a thing of the past for a while. However, something about having cooler days is always refreshing and inspiring. Here in the south we get a break from those humid, awful, hot days!
Much of this season change is respected and accepted with open arms and huge smiles and considered extremely beautiful. In reality, the season is shedding off the old. I saw A quote the other day that said "It's so strange that autumn is so beautiful; yet everything is dying." How ironic?
All of us have experienced times in our lives when we had to transition from one situation to another and it is usually not without some form of pain or sadness. The sting of death can be so unbearable when a person, place, thing or idea is stripped from us. But as unnecessary as death may seem, it is necessary. Just as Autumn is letting go of what Spring yielded and Summer allowed us to enjoy, know that these transitions must occur in order for new life to spring forth!
Seeds have to die in order to produce massive, beautiful trees! It is most important to keep a hopeful perspective and see the beauty of the shedding, just as we do in Earth's season of Autumn. Hope is a beautiful thing in seasons of pain and disheartening moments.
My devotion today said, "You live not in time but in Eternity. It is in the unseen your life-future is being planned." -Sept 16, God Calling, AJ Russel. Remember that in those long seasons of loss and pain. We have a hope of Eternity with Christ!
Now about that hair!
Some of you are so ready to get that new look of the season and others of you, well, business as usual (give me my blonde! Or just get these grays gone!). I am here for you no matter what you are ready for! Currently, it seems as though the trends are taking us to a lot more warmth in those blonde and brown locks with either a messy bob or long layered haircut! So get your appointment booked!

I cannot wait to see you in my chair!
